Borrowed Collection Bride: Zanna
Borrowed Collection Bride Zanna holds a special place in our hearts; not only is she a beauty inside and out, she is an incredibly talented hair & makeup artist, who uses her art to highlight the beauty of each and every one of her clients. In fact, Zanna's artistry had us so inspired, we asked her to collaborate on our veil collection photoshoot, where she created a stunning makeup look for our model.
Zanna has an incredible sense of style and had a vision of her bridal look from the moment that we met for a styling consultation. Having chosen the stunning 'Olivia
' gown by Reem Acra
, Zanna was looking for the perfect headpiece to complement her glamorous wavy hairstyle and beaded sleeves; she wanted something that suited that elusive balance of glamour and romance that she was creating with her look.
True to form, Zanna chose the perfect statement headpiece, styling our Stellina Bracelet
in her hair, as an incredible jeweled comb; it was the perfect piece to complement the glamourous sideswept waves that she and her team at The Artistry Collective
Every bride needs a fabulous pair of shoes, and we love Zanna's choice of sparkly Grecian-inspired sandals.
A classic white bouquet is utterly romantic and again highlights that perfect balance between glamour and romance that Zanna created.
“Where did you draw inspiration from your bridal look from?”
Zanna: "As a makeup artist, I have always been able to pull ideas and drawn inspiration from the world around me, and planning my wedding was no exception. I would flip open a magazine, walk by a store, check out a blog or go shopping, and see little bits and pieces of my wedding in all of the things around me. I pieced everything together like a puzzle and was so lucky to have 20 months to plan the wedding, because I used every minute of it perfecting the details."
“Now that you’ve “been there, done that”, what advice do you have for other brides, when it comes to choosing their bridal style?”
Zanna: "Working in the industry and now having been married myself, I often meet brides that want to become the most over the top, glamorous version of themselves. I say that it’s your wedding and you deserve to look the way that makes you feel your best. With that said, my advice to you is: “Be true to yourself and your style; don’t hop onto a crazy trend if that just isn’t you."
Congrats to Zanna and Marty! Here's to a lifetime to love, laughter, and happiness.
